• Provide quality nursing care, first aid and emergency medical support to boarding learners while ensuring their overall health, safety and well-being.
• Supervise learners within the boys' boarding section, ensuring adherence to school rules, routines and standards of discipline.
• Administer prescribed medication, monitor learners with medical conditions, and maintain accurate and confidential health records.
• Conduct regular roll calls, monitor learner attendance, and account for all learners during study time, meals, lights-out, weekends and other boarding activities.
• Provide pastoral care, guidance and emotional support to learners, fostering a safe, caring and supportive boarding environment.
• Identify and respond promptly to medical emergencies, accidents, welfare concerns and disciplinary matters, making appropriate referrals and reporting incidents to the relevant school authorities.
• Promote healthy living, personal hygiene and disease prevention through health education and routine monitoring of learners.
• Ensure the hostel, sick bay and surrounding environment are safe, clean, secure and conducive to learners' health and welfare.
• Liaise effectively with parents, teachers, school administrators and healthcare providers on matters relating to learners' health, welfare and discipline.
• Maintain adequate medical supplies and ensure proper management of the school clinic and first aid resources.
• Prepare accurate medical, welfare and incident reports, ensuring that all required records are maintained.
• Participate in evening, weekend and holiday duty rosters and undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the school administration in support of the boarding 

Qualifications and Experience

• Registered Nurse with a valid practising licence.
• Certificate or Diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution.
• Registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
• At least two (2) years' relevant nursing experience. Experience in a boarding school or similar residential setting will be an added advantage.
