The beautiful morning of 12th April 2018, saw the Greenhill Primary School Buwaate outgoing prefectural body 2017/2018, officially hand over power to the incoming prefectural body 2018/2019.
The event that had Mrs. Jovita Ajuna the Editor of the famous Newvision Toto Magazine in attendance as the Guest of Honor, was colorful with breathtaking performances, great speeches from the outgoing Head girl and incoming Head boy and a team of smartly clad incoming prefects confidently taking the oath and pledging to serve diligently.
As the outgoing prefects were handing over power, it was only right to appreciate their work done and allow them to give their final remarks to the school before leaving office. Represented by the outgoing Head girl, Karabo Angel Tandeka the cabinet thanked the entire school for their immense support that has enabled them to have a smooth term in office.
This nostalgic speech was then followed by another energetic speech from the incoming Head boy Nsereko Joseph who thanked the school for having voted him into power and expressed his commitment towards executing the duties of the office to the best of his ability.
The event was crowned by a moving speech from the Guest of Honor, Mrs. Jovita Ajuna. In her speech, she thanked the School for having invited her to be the Guest of Honor of such a prestigious function and was indeed humbled. She urged the incoming prefects to give their very best as leadership is a gift from God. For those that did not have the opportunity to become leaders, she urged them not to be jealous but instead learn from and tap the blessings of their counterparts. Addressing the parents in attendance, she thanked them for showing their support and being in attendance. She highlighted that there is nothing more treasurable to a child than their parent being present to watch and support both their big and small achievements.
We would like to thank the outgoing cabinet headed by Karabo Angel Tandeka and Mugume Paul for the work well done. To the incoming cabinet headed by Nsereko Joseph and Agaba Linda Karen, we congratulate you upon this great achievement and we believe in you to make us proud.
