Candidates Lead Dedication Service at Greenhill Academy Kibuli

Greenhill Academy Kibuli held a special Candidates’ Dedication Service on Sunday, 27 September 2026, bringing together candidates from P7, S4 and S6 for a morning of faith, reflection, prayer and encouragement.

The service took place at the school field from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. under the theme:

“Do not be afraid, I am with you.” — Isaiah 41:10

What made the service particularly meaningful was the active role played by the candidates themselves. They led various aspects of the service, including prayer, worship, Scripture reading and other parts of the programme as they dedicated their academic journey and upcoming examinations to God.

The service brought together candidates, parents, staff and members of the Greenhill community for a morning centred on faith, encouragement and reflection.

A Moment to Dedicate the Journey

For the P7, S4 and S6 candidates, the dedication service marked an important moment in their academic journey. It provided an opportunity for them to pause from the demands of preparation and examinations, seek spiritual guidance and draw encouragement from their faith and the wider school community.

The theme from Isaiah 41:10 spoke directly to the occasion, reminding the candidates to approach the season ahead with courage, confidence and trust in God.

The Main Celebrant, Rev. Ben Odongo, led the congregation in the special service and shared a message of encouragement with the candidates as they prepared for the examinations ahead.

Led by the Candidates

Rather than simply being participants, the candidates took centre stage during the service. Their involvement reflected Greenhill Academy’s emphasis on developing young people who are not only academically prepared but also confident, responsible and grounded in Christian values.

The service was a meaningful morning of worship, prayer, thanksgiving and encouragement, as the Greenhill community stood with the candidates and committed their academic journey to God.
